Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive order from Merchandiser team.
- Work with internal and vendor’s Sample lab team until having completed Pre-Production Sample (PPS) spec (upholstery, whitewood, material, loading, etc.)
- Review and prepare PPS report.
- Conduct training for QC team, support them to find solutions for raised problem in PPS producing process.
- Get management approval and approve PPS before mass production.
- Sign contract with QC Director (of factories and internal)
- Research, plan, and manage design process from conception to completion on time and within budget.
- Create suitable design briefs and concepts for evaluation by the management before moving to the next stage.
- Investigate new and existing products and materials to ensure that products are viable and competitive, and to incorporate these into future designs.
- Create and introduce new/improved products, proving and testing both internally and externally and collaborate with marketing, technical, suppliers and manufacturing specialists to combine design, business, and engineering skills.
- Choose appropriate manufacturing methods, processes and techniques to produce designs.
- Produce 2D and 3D drawings, prototypes, models, mock-ups, artwork, samples, or test pieces of designs to bring these to life.
- Present designs to customers (internal/external) to get buy-in.
- Collaborate costing information and present this in a comprehensive format (Bill of Materials).
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- Can communicate in both English and Chinese.
- Proven working experience in sofa field, especially Hi-end products.
- Can read technical/AutoCAD drawing.
- Fair knowledge about production process.
- Work well within a team.
- Creative and innovative thinking skills.
- Problem-solving skills
